Chamberlin's Ole Forest Inn
Chamberlin's Ole Forest Inn -- Overlooking Big Manistique Lake, This beautifully restored inn was built by the Manistique Railroad at the turn of the century. The sprawling 7,500 square foot dwelling boasts natural woodwork throughout, a 10-foot floor-to-ceiling fieldstone fire place, wrap around verandah to enjoy tranquil mornings, and incredible sunsets. The twelve well-appointed guest rooms have high ceilings, tall windows, are furnished in oak, wicker, antiques, rich colors. Each room has individually controlled heating and a sink or ensuite bath ( book early for the whirlpool suite). The full service kitchen offers casual fine dining. Stop in for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or just for drinks. Docking space available in summer, and direct trail access for snowmobiles in winter. Open year round (except April). Sorry, no pets.
